THE MINISTRY

The Work in Kasur

This is ministry close to the ground — and close to the heart.

Pastor Nemat serves brick-kiln bonded-labor families in Kasur, Pakistan. Through prayer, the mission nurtures families' spiritual growth, sharing Christian teaching through Sunday service and Sunday school. It provides food and housing for their physical needs and schooling for their children, and, as far as its small means allow, arranges medicines for the sick — care that is still small-scale today because funds are limited, and that partners can help to grow. And, as far as possible, it works to free families from brick-kiln debt bondage.

One family knows this hope firsthand. Their Rs 300,000 kiln debt was cleared. Then came a safe home. Schooling for their children. Help toward a livelihood. A new chapter began.
